I'm a music researcher who have broad interests in computer music. I obtained a B.S. in Mathematics with a specialty in Data Science at Peking University in China where I was also trained in Psychology, and learned music composition from Prof. Fei Wang at China Conservatory of Music. Previously, I have interned at Microsoft and ByteDance focusing on audio- or music-related algorithms research. As a composer and producer, I have written several musical works and also participated in a few screen scoring projects. Most recently, my original Chinese musical, The Bronte Sisters, premiered at Peking University (can be found on bilibili.com). Starting in the fall of 2021, I joined the Department of Music at University of California, San Diego as a Ph.D. student in computer music.
